Most of my crocheting lately has been crocheting – then be unhappy with the result and frogging (ripping out… rip it, rip it, rip it). However, I have finished some projects… and not finished others.
I had several requests for more adult/gag lip balm packages. Sigh.
For a friend-of-a-friend’s birthday, I made him the “perfect woman“.
I made this dark brown and black beret for sale – but if it doesn’t sell soon, I’m keeping it for myself! I had trouble getting a decent photo – the “band” is a cool black and brown pattern. Click on the image or here to see the sale listing.
I made (and sold) this “Puffs of Smoke” scarf. (Tried a ton of different stitches before I finally found this simple puff stitch that I liked.)
I made this little headband for myself. I hope to sign up for hockey lessons in March, and figure I’ll need something to keep the perspiration out of my eyes.

Made (and sold) this “plumsicle popsicle” scarf and this “purple pleasures” scarf. Worked up quickly once I finally figured out what I wanted to do!
I’ve been working on my Sangria cardigan for months. (Pattern is from the Fall 2010 issue of Interweave Crochet magazine.) I finally got the body done and decided to skip the sleeves and leave it as a vest/shell.

After four months, I gave up on my “trail of blossoms” scarf. I just hate working on motif projects. I’ll make something else from those scraps of yarn.

Frogged - trail of blossoms scarf
I love this yarn, but I just can’t find a stitch/project I love with it… I’ve tried many different things and just dont’ find anything I love. I started a “drops of sunshine” scarf (and frogged) and an “autumn leaves” scarf (frogged).

I’ve been working on my coat since September – and finally gave up. I don’t think I’ll ever finish, so I may as well move on.

I did finish my skirt! I like how it turned out.

I also finished a little cardigan as part of the Ravelry “crochet clothing crochet-along” group.

I had more of the yarn I’d used for “puffs of smoke” so I made a second scarf… it’s for sale here.
I received three hanks of beautiful recycled sari silk from a friend in India – in exchange for sending her some bamboo yarn. Tried several different things with it, finally made a scarf out of a simple trellis stitch. It’s for sale here.
In my office, people generally bring in treats (usually donuts) on their birthday. This year I brought in bagels – and these homemade donuts as well as a single cupcake.

Birthday donuts (and cupcake)
I also made myself a tiara to wear on my birthday. I have memories of the teacher having a tiara we could wear on our birthday in grade school. I was telling a coworker about it – and he said “why don’t you wear one now?” Why not?

Several more projects in the works!
Love all of them!
I don’t like motif projects either :-p
