I FINALLY finished the gigantic blanket I started last summer.

My giant 101 stitch sampler blanket
I’d bought two HUGE 23 ounce cones (that’s 46 ounces) of lightweight green acrylic… maybe 8,000 yards of it. My friends thought it hysterical. It made sense to me at the time I bought it.
Anyway, I thought a nice lightweight yet warm blanket was just the thing.
I started it with various stitches, but quickly realized any one stitch was going to bore me to tears with such a mammoth project. So, I decided to make all 101 stitches in my “101 stitches for afghans” book and combine them into a single blanket. I used some violet and lavender as well (as some stitches need contrasting colors).
As the project went on, I got lazier and lazier, and my squares became different sizes… and my blanket turned out shorter than I originally planned (I planned on queen bed size) – but overall, it’s done and I don’t dislike it.
Hehehe! So glad you finished it. Looks good.
