Cranking out the crochet

December 6, 2010 by Lynette

When I do something, I tend to jump in and do it with a VENGEANCE.  So, when I decided I might crochet a few things for sale… well, it’s more than a few.  I’ve been, as my hair stylist said, crocheting my fingers off.

First, though… I made my friend Sam a sweater.  She liked the one I made for myself and so it made the perfect year-end bonus/gift for all the help she’s given me over the past year.

Next I started cranking out items I could offer for sale (or keep for myself if they didn’t sell – hey, I’m a pragmatist.)

My roommate/friend asked me to make her another sweater.  So, I took a break from scarf-making and created a wrap sweater for her – from the same yarn I used for Sam’s.

Another friend said she wished I had a dark red scarf for sale… and I was inspired to make the “little red riding hood”.

I had some yarn left from making a shrug for myself.  (It’s beautiful yarn that was a gift from my friend Adrienne.)

My roommate/friend had overnight guests… and one guest inspired me to play with hats:

I liked the sweater I made for my friend… and wanted something warm for myself.  So, I took another break to make myself a really long really warm sweater coat.

I made another scarf using lightweight sock yarn – which took a long time, but in my opinion was worth it.  I like the leaf edging in the neutral greens and browns.

… as always, there are more projects in progress!!!

By the way, if you or anyone you know is interested – my items for sale are here
