Finally!
I FINALLY got around to contacting my political representatives about something that’s been driving me nuts. Spending billions of our tax dollars to lay fiber optic cable to provide citizens with DSL when 4G would be cheaper and faster!
I greatly admire all the work you are doing.
I do want to note (and I realize this is very late to be bringing it up) that I am very disappointed in the nationwide effort to lay fiber-optic cable to provide DSL to all citizens.
We are WAY BEHIND THE TIMES HERE. Providing 4G service would be MUCH cheaper (just a matter of building some towers and installing radios rather than laying cable) and it would provide BETTER FASTER service to these citizens.
The U.S. could take some cues from countries like the Phillipines. Did they lay phone cable? NO! They skipped that step and went right to mobile phones.
We should not be investing BILLIONS to install antiquated technology.
Thank you for all your work on all issues. I feel rather bad bringing up the one negative I have when there are so many positives… but I felt it needed to be said.
Best of luck,
