More yarny fun!
I made a short sleeved white cardigan for my mom.

My mom sent me the above picture of her in the cardigan, and some pictures of my 90-year young aunt. So, I was inspired to make my aunt a cardigan – which I call her “Easter egg cardigan” as the colors remind me of spring.

Jellybean seemed to like the yarn I used for aunt Esther’s cardigan a LOT. (She kept trying to nap on it.) So, I made her a little bed with the yarn I had left over.

I continue to play with jewelry, and made another necklace.

I was inspired by some Mei Mei bamboo yarn in #034, and the “Cloverleaf Top” pattern by Mary Jane Hall (from her awesome book, “Positively Crochet!”), and started thinking of a field of poppies…
and created my “field of poppies” top:

I loved my first “emume bolero” so much, I made a second one. This time it’s cropped and in cotton.

Last, but most DEFINITELY not least… I finished my Molly Ringwald pretty in pink dress! I’ve been wanting to make this ever since I saw the pattern. I’ve made two other dresses by Lily Chin, and I adore her patterns. (Psst… that’s an inexpensive Target knit chemise I’m wearing underneath for a liner. I don’t sew and I’m too cheap to have the dress lined professionally and I hate those body-shaping slips, and the chemises are cheaper and I can get them in fun colors!)

Lily Chin has a stole pattern to match, but I’m not much of a stole or shawl person – so I made a little coordinating shrug. It uses the same lace pattern as for the skirt of the Molly Ringwald dress.
