More yarn-y business

May 25, 2010 by Lynette

Yes, I am OBSESSIVE about my crochet.  I just enjoy it so much!  Here’s what I’ve cranked out since my last post:

I adopted Susan Huxley’s snug hug tank top pattern from her book, “Crocheted Sweaters: Simple Stitches, Great Designs” for a different yarn – and got this fun piece!

As part of a Ravely Crochet-along, I made the Short and Sweet by Angela Best, from “Stich ‘N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker”.  Some people think the pattern looks like horseshoe crabs – or the heads of aliens from outer space.

A boring but functional project – a tote bag:

I made sixteen sets of these in-line links, by Doris Chan.  Great for holding little sweaters like the Short and Sweet together!

… and most recently completed – my geometry dress (perfect for a math geek!)  I love this one.  Ignore the horrible flip flops.

I’ve already started two more projects!

This is so pretty, and perfect for summer! I can’t wait to see the shirt next! 🙂

Wondering how long the tote bag took you?

    Good work on everything!

      Thanks, Cyndi!

I started the tote bag on April 4, and finished on May 22. It’s not a particularly difficult project, just time consuming (and a bit monotonous). 🙂
