I REALLY need to update my blog more often with my crochet! Here’s my projects completed since my last update (in December!)
I made myself a shrug exactly like the one I made my Mom. (Hey, I liked it – whether or not she did!)

My "magic shrug"
I made a fuzzy sweater…

My Mossy Meow
I was quite proud of myself for this one – these little “bubbles” were pretty difficult!

My "sea green bubbles" cardigan
Yet another cardigan…

My "forest dreams" cardigan
My friend Larina liked the one above so well, I made her one just like it for her birthday:

Yes, JUST like mine! We'll be twins!
This was another difficult one… those little cables were challenging:

My creamy "Luna"
I made a throw for my living room… this actually took SEVERAL attempts, trying different yarns combined, in different ways…

One attempt...

Another attempt...
I finally landed up making two throws – one with each yarn.

My bulky lap blanket in "Regency"

Jellybean modeling my throw in "Quartz"
A headband for those days I’m avoiding “hat head”:

Hump-me the Tiger modeling my gothic headband
A little cropped cardigan… I rather like the little buckles I chose over the big buttons in the pattern photo, and I loved this tweedy yarn:

My "C3 cropped cardigan"... see, tweedy...
This next project was a nightmare. Seemed like an easy endeavor… I saw a “racetrack rug” which I thought would be a funny gift for my boyfriend, the automotive journalist. Well, it would NOT lie flat! I started this thing over and over and OVER AND OVER!!!!

Pain in the bumper! Won't lie flat!
The final result lies flat, but isn’t perfectly oval – it has a weird triangular thing going on the ends. However, I guess it looks better than the old towel he used to have on his kitchen floor…

Death Race Racetrack Rug
I made myself a handbag with removable/changeable covers:

"Purse-onality" too!

Purse-onality plus!
I made this “Barcelona Bolero” out of a fun shiny black yarn…

Barcelona bolero
I made the closure – they’re like cuff links, made of buttons and beads…

In line links for barcelona
Since winter’s over (hopefully) my attention is turning away from sweaters a bit – and I just attempted my first dress!
First attempt – the bodice was WAY too large:

WAY too big bodice!
I’m rather pleased with the final result. I used a REALLY cheap yarn in my stash. I obviously need to find (or have made) a different slip/liner, or fix the armholes somehow – but I like it!
UPDATE: Got another slip (okay, it’s a nightie, but let’s not tell) – it looks much better!

Lace dress - with better slip
I’ve got one project started (a tote bag) and another ready to go… and I’m always eager for the next project!
wow I can’t believe you make all those projects. No wonder you have been busy. They are beautiful congratulations on becoming a professional crocheter.
Your work is absolutely beautiful Lynette! I wish I could learn to crochet like that. Keep up the good work…
Your crochet work is amazing, we have so much in common, I also crochet although its really hard to do with 4 cats 2 kittens, I am also from Chicago lived there and the suburbs for 32 years and finally moved to a warmer climate. Its nice to know that what my grown adult kids are calling me “crazy cat lady” is in good company. I am also crazy about nutrition and cat behavior. I started feeding raw today and some like it some not so much… I intend to use canned food as a backup until everyone is on board… I also ground up some extra chicken for my dogs, both dashounds, I added rice and veggies to their food. I also read your story about Ralph, I think that was his name, who had so many problems due to dry food and you were able to turn him around… you did a great thing, and I was glad I found this website to find another “cRAZY cAT LaDy”
Thanks so much, Monica. Nice to “meet” you!
Wow. Incredible work.
I love your cropped cardigan and the buckles.
Thanks Lisa!
